Why is the max height 8.5ft and not 10ft?
We optimized forYouth Skill Development (Ages 5-13)and Trunk Portability. 8.5ft is the perfect height for kids to learn proper form without heaving the ball.
Physics dictates that to fit in a car trunk, a system cannot safely extend to 10ft. We chose freedom over height.
Will it tip over in the wind?
Not a chance. The IGL features a 95lb Anchor System (60lb Alloy Frame + 35lb Ballast).
Our triangular locking base creates a rock-solid center of gravity that withstands driveway winds. No sand. No leaking water.
Do I really need zero tools to set it up?
Zero. Put the toolbox away. The hoop arrives fully pre-assembled. You simply unfold, snap, and lock. The average setup time is under 3 minutes—easy enough for a 10-year-old.
Is the 15-inch rim smaller than standard?
Yes, by design. It is a "Sharpshooter Rim"(Standard is 18").
It forces players to aim for the dead center ("swish only"). Top coaches use smaller rims to train precision. If you can drain shots on this, a regulation hoop will feel huge.
My HOA bans hoops. Can I hide this?
